Motorstorm better looking than any Xbox360 racer? Really? Have you played Project Gotham Racing for the 360? I have. Have you played Motorstorm? I have. And I can tell you that the 360 blows Motorstorm out of the water in the graphics department.

Any PS3 fan in the U.S. needs to get up off their butts and go to Target...right now. The PS3 is there, and it is playable. It is even hooked up to a nice Sony LCD HDTV. Play Motor Storm. Hit the pause button and Ooo and Ahhh... then play the thing. I didn't make it through the first lap before I was looking for the Quit Demo button which apparently doesn't exist.
After you are done, come back here and post. I was sorely disappointed.
I PLAYED Motor Storm. It is pretty, but not any prettier than anything I have seen on the 360. And the gameplay? Well, I don't want to be rude, but to be accurate, it sucked my balls. It was slow and plodding. It was nowhere near as visceral as all of the previews would have you believe. It wasn't a framerate issue, but for a racing game, everything felt like you were driving through slow molasses.
I am getting my PS3 next Friday, and I hope to everything holy that it is ...
Gotcha. I took your comment out of context. I am a retard. You are absolutely right that the Xbox didn't have a whole lot of Japanese friendly RPG's or a whole lot of Japanese friendly anything. I was actually in Japan when the first Xbox came out, and it was a sad showing.

As I watched the video, 7/10 times I didn't even realize it was swapping between the two screens. When I did realize, it just seemed the 360's black were deeper and the color a little more vibrant. But I can't tell you if that was a good or a bad thing.
No RPGs for the first Xbox? Jade Empire? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic? Fable? Just to name a few of the best ones.
Maybe you missed those while you were away in the Army. It is an honest mistake. But you have already proven to be a ridiculous supporter of all things Sony, so I don't expect you to have played them, much less heard of them. I played the PS3 yesterday at Target. I have pre-ordered one, and the display has me doubting my purchase. I had high hopes for Motor Storm, and while it looked nice enough, it wasn't anything I haven't seen on my 360, and was a lot LESS than when I played Gears of War. I could have overlooked that, but the gameplay was slow and not as visceral as every preview led me to believe. I am hoping Resistance does SOMETHING for me, because otherwise I just bought a Blu-Ray player.

I love my Gamer score. I am not going to spend $6000 to falsely inflate my numbers, but I will play the crap out of a game for the stupid achievments. It is ridiculously addicting.
I will be picking my PS3 up on 17 Nov, and the fact that most of the launch titles are already on the 360 means that I will buy them for the 360 first just for the achievments alone. I have invested a lot of time getting those little buggers. It is a pretty sly move for MS. Take Fight Night 3 ...

Okay. That is just one game. How are 10 games of Resistance going to be at one time? How about a 100? Now throw in another game. And another game. My only point is we have no idea how well the online component will play until they let ALL of the gamers on during a normal day.

I am an avid 360 gamer. I love it, love it, love it. The best thing about Gears of War for me is that it will definitely tide me over until the 17th, and I pick up my PS3. I even went out and bought some Blu-Ray movies and a $100 HDMI cord in anticipation.

I dig your comments about the Ford Gt vs Ferrari. I happily own a 360. I was just lamenting the lack of launch titles. And continuing the trend that this guy is retarded, I thought I would pick up a PSP to complement the PS3...until I realized it was $250.00...the same price as a next-gen console. I didn't see him comment on that in his little "they are too expensive" tirade.
I just paid off my PS3, and I choked on that. And I bought a $3000 HDTV without batting an eyelash. I agree with Sphinx that until Spring, the PS3 just doesn't have enough games that I don't already have. I will enjoy the Blu-Ray movies and maybe one or two of those launch games.
I pre-ordered my PS3 on a whim today. I just happened to drive by the store, and there was only one person waiting. So I dropped 600 bones. I didn't even really care what games were coming out. But when I look at this list, Resistance is the only one that is lighting my fire.
